The Firework Store

3rd day in China now and jet lag is wearing off. After the shock of coming from the opulance of Hong Kong to China, which is no where near the same, the country and the people are really nice.

Had a couple of shootings (demo firing nights) and off toa firework factory this morning, really looking forward to it.

Well we landed in Hong Kong on Wednesday 18th after a knackering 11 hour flight. With the + 8 hour time difference body clock went into overtime and even 3 days later all over the place.

Hong Kong is fantastic and we had a ball, but yesterday we headed off for China. What a  totally different place.  Got into Liuyang yesterday mid-afternoon and arrived at our hotel. What a surprise. 5 star, overlooking the river. All you can hear though is car horns, and we're on the 19th floor.

Tomorrow's our big day when we set off for sunny China, though the weather report says it may snow, no need for the suntan cream then.

But before we head off for distant shores, we've updated our site with some fantastic discounts for New Year. AS we haven't had time to add any new stock, we'll have a bash when we get back. Hopefully, subject to access, we'll update the site while we're away.

We've bitten the bullet and decided that it's time we visited China, specifically Liuyang, the home of firework manufacture.

We're away on 17th November for 10 days. While we're away we'll be visiting various fireworks manufacturers with the sole intent of looking at a limited range for 2010. Should be fun and interesting and of course we'll update the site as we can.

We've created this Blog site to update people with all things firework related, or at least related to us.

We'll try and keep it topical and fun and informative. We'll update with products, legislation and anything else we can get onto this site. Please bear with us as we try our best to develop this site into something worth reading. We're not I.T. bods and so it'll be an interesting evolution of the site. We'll make mistakes and no doubt we'll balls it up, probably more than once, but should be interesting.
