It's all go at the moment. Just back from my jollies and we're away again to China on Sunday. This will hopefully be to finalise the orders for our new range for 2010.
We've sourced some really fantastic products and are looking forward to introducing them this year. Will update here as and when I can.
Since we last posted on here, but generally January is a quiet month. We're attending the Spring Fair at the NEC next week to see what goodies the fireworks industry have to offer us this year. Our plans for import are still ongoing, as we're hoping to publish our new range by end of March.
We've changed our shop opening times this year to allow for Saturday shopping, though closing Monday & Tuesday means I've a long weekend off.
So for now that's all to let you know about. As things pick up and ranges arrive, we'll update here first. Till then...
We've just ordered our last bits of stock to see us through New Year. Due to the delivery date, we won't be posting them on our website. We've had a couple of dissapointments over stock shortages but we've enough stock, hopefully, to keep everyone happy.
and after a week back the jet lag has thankfully gone. Over the past week we've uploaded some images from our trip to China, particularly the images from our factory visit. It's amazing to see that everything is virtually hand made and the people were really warm and welcoming, even with the language barrier.
Our job now is to wade through all the footage, firing lists etc., and come up with a strategy for next year. Ideally we'll look to bring a limited range in for 2010 to compliment our existing stock and see how things pan out.
We're also looking at promoting our display company and after what we've seen out there it's given us impetus to get this side of our business moving.
It's unfortunate I know but we're back home and back to work. The last couple of weeks have been fantastic and a real eye opener into the manufacture and whole firework business. We've come away with ideas and plans for next year that hopefully will come to frution.
If you get a few spare minutes take a look at our photoblog with some of the images we took while out in China.
