About UsThe Firework Store is a genuine firework retail shop, which is open all year round. None of this open for 3 weeks then go back to selling shoes, or groceries or insurance. We offer full advice and information all year, you can phone us on a landline number (not a mobile) or call in at the shop. We love what we do and we strive to ensure that we offer you the best fireworks, from the best manufacturers at the best price. We don't think that profit is a dirty word, without it we won't be here year after year, we won't be able to spend money updating the website to give you a better shopping experience or update our shop. |
Making A PurchaseMaking a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. We accept credit card payments or good old Paypal. If you're ordering for collection you can pay in the shop by cards or even cash. If you wish to pay on delivery, we can only accept cash, no other payments can be taken this way. When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. |
Shipping And HandlingDue to an increasing number of attempts to obtain fireworks by credit card fraud we will only ship a customers first order to the registered card holders address. After this we will ship to a works address. All orders carry a flat rate delivery charge of £25.00, unless designated as a collection. This price is for delivery to mainland UK only. Certain remote areas of the UK may be liable to a surcharge, if deemed necessary by the carriers. Should this be the case we reserve the right to amend the delivery charge accordingly. Due to the nature of fireworks, finding someone to deliver them is an absolute nightmare, hence they shake us by the ankles till all our money falls out. We heavily subsidise the actual shipping cost. We therefore have to set a minimum order for delivery of £50.00 plus the carriage charge, if you order less than £50 the carriage charge is £40. We are being crippled by carriage at the moment and less than £50 order and we cannot subsidise the cost. . Obviously is you're collecting from the shop, there is no shipping charge. It is important that when the goods are delivered, that someone over the age of 18 signs for the goods, otherwise the carriers may not leave them, resulting in a possible re-delivery charge. Orders shipping to SCOTLAND, DEVON & CORNWALL will incur additional costs. We apologise for this but it's charged to us by the carriers. Free delivery is now available for orders over £350.00 with the exceptions of SCOTLAND, DEVON & CORNWALL. Where a FREE delivery is requested to theses area's we will add £15.00 to cover the surcharge or as deemed necessary by the carriers. Where this may be the case. please contact us first to get a quotation. Failing that we will automatically add this amount to any payment method, or withold delivery until this is paid for in full. We can only deliver to mainland UK. |
Delivery ScheduleWhere we use an external carrier, goods are shipped usually within 2 days of receipt of orders and payment. Parcels are sent on a 3-4 day delivery service and delivery days are Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00pm excluding all public and bank holidays. Additional charges will be levied for next day or weekend deliveries. Where deliveries are required for Bonfire Night, we arrange our deliveries around a schedule starting 15th October. All orders received by this date will be guranteed delivery for then. Due to the volume of orders received, we strongly recommend you give us specific delivery requirements. |

Tax ChargesAll quoted prices are fully inclusive of VAT, unlike a lot of other companies who's apparent "cheap" prices are exclusive of Gordon's bit. |

Returns PolicyWe as a company thank you for your purchase and your trust. In the event of a failure of a product we will offer you either a replacement or a full refund, providing the following conditions are met. We will requrie proof of purchase and we must be notified within 30 days of purchase. We will not refund or replace the firework if any sign of tampering to either the fusing or the firework is apparent, where the item has been stored incorrectly or where the firework has been incorrectly fired. We are not liable for any costs incurred in returning the item to our premises and it will not be our responsibility to arrange collection of any items. Any items paid for and returned "unwanted" will incur a re-stocking fee of 20% |
